I saw Mr. Buy himself at a Best Buy in Brick, New Jersey last week. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen extension cables in his hands without paying.
I used to love the Best Buy in Brick NJ. I appreciated the fact they have expanded their inventory to include not only electronics. With that being said ,one of the employees( Chris )with black hair and many tattoos. Was unprofessional and screamed at me because I asked him if he would listen to my inquiry instead of being distracted. He continued to ignore me when I was checking out and told me to shop somewhere else. I will no longer patronize Best Buy because it does not have the high caliber employees of long ago. I will be pursuing corrective measures through higher in the chain of command. (Corporate)
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the cables and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical interference,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each cable and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Store is nice, clean and well organized. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Parking easy. 3rd party company that delivers appliances SUCKS! Had fridge, dishwasher and stove delivered. Company did a terrible job and had to have them come and reinstall dishwasher and fridge. Customer service was wonderful though.
I walked into this store looking to get quotes for an appliance package for my house. I explained to the sales associate that I won't be closing until February but I would still like to get worse case scenario prices. I was an employee with Best Buy for 4 years, and when I worked there, appliances were a huge push because of how it helps the store. I figured that he would go above and beyond but he was useless. He looked to see if there was an current deals and there wasn't. At this point he advised me that there were no deals going on currently. I tried to get him to at least talk about some products but he clearly wasn't, trying to work that day. Only reason I gave two stars is because I was approached rather quickly which also is a rarity in that store. I'll stick to Home Depot now for my appliances.
Great customer service! Ordered online and quick easy transaction when I arrived. A glitch required cashier to go above and beyond and he did! Pleasant experience ;)
