Day 10 i ran out of drops. I called and explained i needed the rest, the remaining 10 days and they told us we had to pay for it!!!!
My dog has a UTI. We called in Mid August and explained what was going on and they said they wouldn't be able to take her until Sept. 5. We reluctantly made the appt., but her symptoms kept getting worse so we called again and the inexperienced girl who answered said they're too busy to take our dog in any sooner. My husband asked if there was anything else we can do in the meantime and the only thing she recommended was going to another banefield and hung up on him. Google was our next resort to try and relieve some of the symptoms of the UTI. While Banefield is cheap and convenient, we have had nothing but issues no matter which location we have gone to. I feel that the vets we have dealt with are poorly trained and the employees at the front counter are there for a paycheck and not the well being of the animals and they rush you off the phone. We will without a doubt be canceling our Banefield plan and will be going to a more reputable vet even if that means paying a little more. At least our dog will be treated correctly and quickly. We were lucky and able to schedule a same day appt. For new customers, Banefield is good if you get a puppy for a the first round of shots, but after that I highly recommend canceling and finding another vet for sick visits, treatments, etc. Someone thats in it for the right reasons.
My Maxx had been a Banfield Dog for 8 years , no matter which Banfield he always received Love and Patience .. Recently he took a turn for the worse and so off to Banfield we went ..
Banfield is a great place, have had a wellness plan for years, love the stuff and doctors mostly, but I wouldn't suggest going to BRICK NJ location. Takes weeks to get an appointment. Brought my pup there last week for her shot and she came home with fleas. I had to go again today to get treatment for my dog for biting her skin away because she is more sensitive than most dogs, paid 135$ brick said that would not pay for my visit today at a different location because "you can't prove the fleas came from here". They said they would wave my next monthly payment (42$) but overall would not suggest brick, and I now always will go to the WOODBRIDGE NJ location because they are always perfect, friendly, and honest. All doctors are amazing at banfield.
Not only were the Staff kind and compassionate but Dr. Beltran rushed in early to tend to both he and I .. At 18 years and 10 months he was eased to Sleep .. All there who knew my Maxx felt for us .. ANd I cannot say enough good things about this Banfield .. Thank you
My advice. To many GOOD vets out there. Go elsewhere. Its your pet, they deserve the best care. Not screw up after screw up and $569.00 later thats WITH that lovely puppy plan they get you with also. This place has gone downhill. Dirty, unfriendly and thieves.
She NEVER even explained how my dog who is 100% an inside dog could get this kind of infection. She misdiagnosed her from May-Sept.
STAY AWAY!! Its not worth the 20bucks u might save. The plan isnt worth it. For the past year whenever i try to get my dog an appointment i have to wait 2 weeks. Well after taking her in for an ear infection, 3 cultures later, 2 different medications ,my dog got worse. Now they called it a special ear swab they had to do. Mind you were at 500.00 at this point, yes 500.00! I was sent home with drops,antibiotics and a ear wash for 20 days.
The doctors and staff are always very nice. They usually get you in and out of there quickly.
Now we all know if we go to to a dr and he prescribes us a 14 dag supply and we only receive 7 days, we sure as heck dont pay again for the remaining 7. I spoke with a nurse AND manager who both said Dr Knox didnt do her math and add it up right. WOW ok, do the Dr screws up and i have to pay another 69.00. INSANE
