I went in on Sunday at 2:00pm. They close at 3. I wanted to order something but I was told that all the chefs went home and that they were wrapping everything up. It was my first time going there any probably won't go back. Why advertise that you're open until 3 if you're not? Close at 2 since you're not going to make any money from 2-3 anyway. I was told to come back tomorrow to order what I want. Highly doubtful because I got what I wanted somewhere else when I wanted it.
We had a party on 7/22 and spoke with Mary about what we should order for our guests. She gave us excellent ideas and placed the order for us. We picked up the cold items for lunch and had the hot items delivered for dinner. Needless to say, everything was perfect, food was delicious (everyone commented on how good it was) and the items she suggested were perfect.
We go there all the time for their homemade ravioli and sauce which is the best we have ever had. My daughter goes there to take boxes home with her whenever she visits as she says there are no better raviolis anywhere.
First time there. I thought the service was poor. The butcher was great. But I went to get some cheese and there was no one there to take my order . Then l went to get some thing else and a lady came to take another women order . I waited when the lady behind the counter was done she walked away while I was talking to her. The other women just said you have to get the guy from the other counter. He was ok. But very slow. I go to pay the lady was helpful but while helping me she took another lady. I thought that was rude. I hope the food I got was worth it.
This is the most authentic Italian food store I have found yet in Ocean County.
Cannot recommend Mulberry Street enough. We live in an adult community and Mulberry Street does their catering. First event we went to, we asked where the food came from, because it was delicious and have been going there since then.
Loved it! Living in N Jersey for many years it can be hard to find a good and authentic Italian Deli when in S Jersey. Mulberry hit the spot! Large store with many imports and makes a beautiful Italian sub. Fresh mutz!
